Sincona sale 98, lot 4619

This specimen was lot 4619 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$174 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Halbdicken 1620, Zürich. Gutes sehr schön. (Switzerland, city and canton of Zürich, half dicken of 1620, Zürich mint. Good Very Fine.)"

The half dicken was twelve kreuzer or one-sixth thaler. This type was struck 1620-22.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specifications: 3.49 g, silver, 26 mm diameter, this specimen 4.24 g.
