The Najjahids were a group who came to power led by a former Ethiopian slave Najad. They controlled the area around Zabid.
The specimen shown was lot 267 in Steve Album sale 16 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2013), where it sold for US$472. The catalog description reads[1]:
"NAJJAHID: Jayyash b. al-Mu'ayyad, fl. 1073, AV dinar, Zabid, "AH465", A-1074, frozen date, but clear; struck circa 465-480's, VF."
