Künker sale 335, lot 4894

This specimen was lot 4894 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabruck, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €420 (about US$550 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH. DIE ÖSTERREICHISCHEN STANDESHERREN, TRAUTSON, GRAFEN. Paul Sixtus von Falkenstein, 1598-1621. 1/2 Reichstaler 1620, Wien. Kl. Kratzer, sehr schön. (Holy Roman Empire, Paul Sixtus von Falkenstein, 1598-1621, half thaler of 1620, Vienna mint. Light scratches, very fine.)"

The count was given the mint right as a reward for his service to the emperor as governor of Tyrol. A double thaler and single thaler also exist. All issues from this locality are rare and expensive.
