This specimen was lot 1512 in Stack's Coin Galleries sale (Irvine, July 2011), where it sold for $411. The catalog description noted, "GERMAN STATES. Teutonic Order. Taler, 1613. Maximilian of Austria (1588-1618). Crowned standing figure with broad sword flanked by Arms and crested helmet. Rv. Charging Knight on caparisoned steed r. above a circle of 12 shields. Cleaned, generally strongly detailed and appealing. VERY FINE." Altho the Teutonic Order is best remembered in history for its activities in Prussia and Latvia, these scarce thalers were minted for them in Hall in Tyrol.
