This specimen was lot 4641 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabruck, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €550 (about US$720 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH. Erzherzog Maximilian als Hochmeister des Deutschen Ordens, 1585-1590-1618. Reichstaler 1612, Hall. R Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, archduke Maximilian as Grand Master of the Teutonic Order, 1590-1618, thaler of 1612, Hall mint. Very fine to extremely fine.)"
Like other Teutonic Order thalers of this period, this type is scarce but not rare.
