This type was struck 1850-51 and 1857 only. A similar type (KM 9a, 0.800 fine) was issued 1860-61. It was superseded in 1874 by the familiar standing Helvetia type. All are expensive in nice condition.
Recorded mintage: 5,750,000 for 1850-51.
Specification: 5 g, 0.900 fine silver, .144 troy oz ASW.
