Stack's Bowers October 2021 Collector's Choice sale, lot 72412

This specimen was lot 72412 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $120. The catalog description^[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 25 Ore, 1947-TS. PCGS SPECIMEN-67. Type struck in Nickel-Bronze. A stunning example of the type, with sharp strike, fully lustrous surfaces and faint lilac color." This nickel-bronze twenty-five öre (KM 798) was struck 1921, 1940-41, 1946-47. Another 25 öre was struck in billon 1943-50.

Recorded mintage: 1,594,200 + 5,332,800 of KM 816.
