Stack's Bowers October 2021 Collector's Choice sale, lot 72411

This specimen was lot 72411 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $132. The catalog description^[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 50 Ore, 1948-TS. PCGS SPECIMEN-67. A prooflike and flashy coin with no toning and sharp strike detail." This billon fifty öre (KM 817) was struck 1943-50. Another fifty öre (KM 796) was struck in nickel-bronze 1921, 1940-41, 1946-47.

Recorded mintage: 1,731,400.

Specification: 4.80 g, 0.400 fine silver, 22 mm diameter.
