Stack's Bowers October 2021 Collector's Choice sale, lot 72415

This specimen was lot 72415 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $70. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 10 Ore, 1947-TS. PCGS SPECIMEN-67. A flashy and prooflike coin, untoned and with a freshly minted look." This type was struck in billon 1942-50. A nickel-bronze ten öre (KM 795) was struck 1920-25, 1940-41, 1946-47.

Recorded mintage: 4,132,950 of KM 795 + 7,293,250 of KM 813 (shown here).

Specification: 1.44 g, 0.400 fine silver, 15 mm diameter.
