This type was struck 1942-50 as a wartime substitute for the bronze öre struck heretofore (KM 777.2). The example shown is typical in showing little wear but subtantial rust. The denomination reverted to bronze 1952-71 but was terminated thereafter along with the two öre.

Recorded mintage: 8,648,500.

Specifications: 1.75 g, steel, 16 mm diameter.
