This specimen was lot 10885 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $940. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 1/2 Daler Plate Money, 1731. Frederik I (1720-51). Nicely stamped with full marks and dates, one stamp is a bit doubled. VERY FINE." This type was issued 1720-50 and is the most common of all plate money. Millions were made but most were melted down to make other copper objects, including coins.
