This specimen was lot 75603 in Stack's Bowers May 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $1,159. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 1/2 Daler Plate Money, 1732. Avesta Mint. Fredrik I. EXTREMELY FINE. Some minor roughness is noted, but this example still offers a charming overall appearance." This type was issued 1720-46 and is the most common half daler plate. Millions were made but most were melted down to make other copper or bronze objects.
