Sweden 1732-GZ 2 mark

from the Stack's Bowers February 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 11380

This specimen was lot 11380 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description^[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 2 Mark, 1732 - GZ. Stockholm Mint. Fredrik I. NGC AU-58. Scarce date. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This is the most common date of a scarce type struck 1720-22, 1731-33 and 1736-37. Eight öre made a mark and eight mark made a riksdaler.

Specifications: 10.405 g, 0.694 fine silver, 30.2 mm diameter, this specimen 10.26 g.
