St. Gall 1621 dicken KM-57
This specimen was lot 5489 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 140 CHF (about US$211 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ. St. Gallen. Stadt und Kanton. Dickenklippe 1621, St. Gallen. Vom selben Stempelpaar wie der Dicken. Sehr selten. Flaue Stellen, Jahreszahl kaum lesbar. Schön-sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of St. Gall, klippe dicken of 1621, St. Gall mint, struck with dies meant for the round dicken. Very rare, Weak areas, year hardly legible, Fine-Very Fine.)"
This dicken was also struck in round format (KM 54) 1618-21. One dicken was 24 kreuzer or six batzen.
