St. Gall 1621 batzen KM-68
This specimen was lot 5491 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 800 CHF (about US$1,206 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ. St. Gallen. Stadt und Kanton. Batzenklippe 1621, St. Gallen. Im dreifachen Gewicht. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Gutes sehr schön. Exemplar der Auktion LHS 94, Zürich, Oktober 2005, Los 3449. (Switzerland, canton of St. Gall, klippe batzen of 1621, St. Gall mint. Rare in this condition, Good Very Fine.)"
This klippe was struck 1621 only and is rare. The corresponding round batzen or four kreuzer (KM 67) was struck 1621-22 and is only scarce.
