This Spanish 2½ pesetas was issued by Franco's regime for circulation in 1954 and 1956 only. All bear the date 1953 below the dictator's bust but have the actual date in the stars on the reverse. A few more were issued in sets 1968-71 but these are rare. The denomination must not have been popular as it has not been used since.

Recorded mintage: 30,322,000.

Specification: 7 g, aluminum bronze, 25 mm diameter, reeded edge.
