This Spanish four reales was struck at the Seville mint in 1810 and 1812. The type was struck 1809-13 at Madrid and Seville for king Joseph as French troops occupied most of Spain. The catalog price is low for specimens in circulated condition. Unlike the traditional four reales, which was half a peso, this coin was worth only a fifth of a peso.
