This specimen was lot 43444 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN. 2 Reales, 1724-M A. Madrid Mint. Philip V. PCGS Genuine--Environmental Damage, Unc Details." Philip V abdicated his throne in January 1724 in favor of his oldest son Luis. When Luis unexpectedly died in August, Philip resumed the throne. This two reales is common.
