Shown is a Spanish two reales struck in 1724 at the Segovia mint, during the one year that Luis, son of Philip V, reigned as king. Assayer F is recorded for the year 1719-1729. This specimen was auctioned by Cayón Subastas in Madrid, Spain, on September 16, 2011, where it hammered for 176 Euros (about US$287 including buyer's fees). The catalog description reads:

"2 reales. 1724. F. Fallo en canto. MBC. Tono. (Two reales of 1724, Segovia mint, toned very fine.)"

Specification: 6.77 g, 0.903 fine silver, 0.1965 troy oz ASW.
