This specimen was lot 74630 in Stack's Bowers May 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $414.80. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxony. 2/3 Taler, 1698-EPH. Friedrich August I. PCGS EF-45. From the Greyhound Collection." This gulden was struck 1697-1705 with initials EPH, IK and ILH. The previous type, KM 655, did not mention the king's new title of king of Poland. The elector would waste the wealth of Saxony trying to hold the throne of Poland.
