Stack's Bowers 2023 ANA sale, lot 55792

This specimen was lot 55792 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $120. The catalog description^[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxony. 1/4 Taler, 1660-CR. Dresden Mint. Johann Georg II. NGC EF Details--Mount Removed. From the Augustana Collection." This type was struck 1656-68, 1675-80 and is fairly common.
