Sincona sale 23, lot 2212

This specimen was lot 2212 in Sincona sale 23 (Zürich, May 2015), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$251 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Sachsen, Herzogtum, ab 1547 Kurfürstentum, Johann Georg I. 1615-1656 Taler 1620. Dresden. Sehr schön. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, John George I (1615-56), thaler of 1620, Dresden mint, very fine.)"

This type is listed for 1616-20 and is slightly scarcer than the preceding type (Dav-7573).
