Sincona sale 26, lot 2799

This specimen was lot 2799 in Sincona sale 26 (Zürich, October 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"Sachsen, Kurfürstentum, Johann Georg I. 1615-1656 Taler 1619. Dresden. Fast vorzüglich-vorzüglich (Germany, electorate of Saxony, John George I, 1615-56, thaler of 1619, Dresden mint. Extremely fine or better.)"

This vicariat thaler was issued on the occasion of the death of the emperor Matthias. It is slightly scarce.
