This specimen was lot 40131 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $2,760. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxony. Ducat, 1617. NGC MS-63. Johann Georg I (1615-56). Centennial of the Reformation commemorative." This issue is accompanied by a thaler (Dav-7595), double thaler (Dav-7594), triple thaler (Dav-7593), quadruple thaler (Dav-7592), double ducat (Fr-2662) and quadruple ducat (Fr-2661).
