Künker sale 406, lot 4660

This specimen was lot 4660 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €360 (about US$472 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DIE GEISTLICHKEIT IN DEN HABSBURGISCHEN ERBLANDEN, SALZBURG, Sigismund III. von Schrattenbach, 1753-1771. Konv.-Taler 1754. In US-Plastikholder der NGC mit der Bewertung UNC Details cleaned (6643585-010). Hübsche Patina, vorzüglich. (archbishopric of Salzburg, Sigismund III of Schrattenbach, 1753-71, convention thaler of 1754. Graded NGC UNC DETAILS CLEANED, handsome patina, extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1753-58 and 1761 and is fairly available. For 1754, the SCWC also records KM 380/Dav-1248 (St. Rupert reverse). It was accompanied by a thirty kreuzer (KM 379), 17 kreuzer (KM 377), ten kreuzer (KM 376), three kreuzer (KM 375), two kreuzer (KM 374), and one kreuzer (KM 373).
