Sincona sale 59, lot 1994

This specimen was lot 1994 in Sincona sale 59 (Zürich, October 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"Johann Ernst von Thun und Hohenstein, 1687-1709. Kreuzer 1706, Salzburg. Prachtexemplar. FDC. (Germany, archbishopric of Salzburg, John Ernest of Thun and Hohenstein, 1687-1709, kreuzer of 1706, Salzburg mint. Cabinet piece, Uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1687-1708. Billon kreuzer were struck until 1764, the denomination was converted to copper after 1782. Four kreuzer made a batzen.
