This specimen was lot 22961 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $376. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 50 Kopek, 1914-BC. PCGS MS-62 Secure Holder. Last year for the type and more scarce than either of the two preceding dates (1912 or 1913). A scattering of light marks with a trace of peripheral tone. Choice rims and attractive overall luster." This date, from a type struck 1895-1914, is scarce but not rare.

Recorded mintage: 1,200,000.

Specification: 10 g, 0.900 fine silver.
