Sincona sale 19, lot 1003

This specimen was lot 1003 in Sincona sale 19 (Zürich, October 2014), where it sold for CHF 60 (about US$75 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "½ Kopeck 1914, St. Petersburg Mint. Uncirculated." This type was struck at St. Petersburg 1894-1900 and 1908-14 in large numbers.

Recorded mintage: 14,000,000.

Specification: 1.6 g, copper, 16 mm diameter, this specimen 1.69 g.
