Stack's Bowers February 2022 Collector's Choice sale, lot 75301

This specimen was lot 75301 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2022), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. Denezhka, 1858-EM. Ekaterinburg Mint. Alexander II. NGC MS-62 Brown. A charming little minor is handsome with brown tone and some light mint red in the protected elements of the design." This type was struck at Ekaterinburg struck 1855-59 and are more common than the similar product of the Warsaw mint.
