This specimen was lot 32253 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it sold for $1,920. The catalog description[1] noted, "Russia: Alexander II 3 Kopecks 1858-BM MS64+ Red and Brown PCGS, Warsaw mint. Obv. Crowned double-headed Imperial eagle with orb and scepter. Rev. Date and value in wreath. Abundant luster, with a bold strike for the issue. Only a few light marks are noticeable, with minor spotting. Only a single piece has been certified finer (MS65). Rare in this near-Gem condition." This type was struck at Warsaw (shown here) and at Ekaterinburg (more common) 1850-59.
