This specimen was lot 49232 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 20 Kopecks, 1857-CNB OB. St. Petersburg Mint. Nicholas I. PCGS MS-63. From the Yakov Averbuch Collection." This type was struck 1832-58. The twenty kopeks was reduced in weight to 3.6 g, 0.500 fine in 1867 and struck in that form until 1893. The light weight twenty kopeks is much more common than this type. Initials ФБ stand for mintmaster Fedor Blum.
