Goldberg NY International sale 59, lot 2182

This specimen was lot 2182 in Goldberg's NY International sale 59 (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $204. The catalog description[1] noted, "Polushka 1857 EM. Authenticated and graded by NGC MS 62 BN (# 4829889-042). Milk chocolate brown. Brilliant uncirculated." This type was struck 1855-59 at Ekaterinburg (shown here) and Warsaw and is common. The weight standard given here is from Numista; the 3 g given in the SCWC is wrong.

Recorded mintage: 6,000,000.

Specification: 1.28 g, copper, 14.5 mm diameter.
