Steve Album sale 54, lot 2554

This specimen was lot 2554 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $115. The catalog description[1] noted, "PRUSSIA: Wilhelm II, 1888-1918, AR 2 mark, 1905-A, a lovely example, PCGS graded MS63." This type was struck 1891-93, 1896-1908, 1911-1912 and most dates are common. The two mark was slightly larger than the old gulden popular in south Germany.

Recorded mintage: 6,493,135 plus 620 proofs.

Specification: 11.11 g, 0.900 fine silver, reeded edge.
