This specimen was lot 1076 in Goldberg sale 116 (Los Angeles, June 2020), where it sold for $396. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Prussia. 20 Marks, 1905-A. Wilhelm II. Brilliant Uncirculated." This specimen is one of a type struck 1890-1913 at Berlin (mintmark "A") and Hamburg (mintmark "J"). Most of the later dates, including this one, are common.
Recorded mintage: 4,175,793 + 287 proofs.
Specification: 7.965 g, 0.900 fine gold, .230 troy oz AGW, lettered edge.
