This specimen was lot 3888 in Goldberg sale 69 (Los Angeles, May, 2012), where it sold for $529. The catalog description [2] noted, "German States - Saxony. 20 Marks, 1905-E. Friedrich August III. NGC graded MS-63." This type was struck 1905 and 1913-14 at the Muldenhutten mint and is priced about double that a common issue from Prussia or Bavaria.
Recorded mintage: 500,000.
Specification: 7.96 g, 0.900 fine gold, .230 troy oz AGW.
