Prussia 1776-A schilling
This specimen was lot 3675 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €310 (about US$432 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. Schilling 1776, A, Berlin. Prägung für die Provinz Preußen. R Sehr schön. Exemplar der Spezialsammlung Brandenburg-Preußen, Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 33, Osnabrück 1996, Nr. 1189. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, schilling of 1776, Berlin mint, struck for the province of Prussia. Rare, very fine.)"
This type was struck at Berlin in 1776 and at Königsberg 1771-86. The Königsberg issue is common, this one is quite scarce.
