Künker sale 353, lot 3674

This specimen was lot 3674 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €525 (about US$731 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. Groschen 1776, A, Berlin. Prägung für die Provinz Preußen. RR Sehr schön. Exemplar der Auktion Westfälische Auktionsgesellschaft 2, Dortmund 1993, Nr. 532. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, groschen of 1776, Berlin mint, struck for the province of Prussia. Very rare, very fine.)"

This type was struck at Berlin in 1776 and at Königsberg 1771-86. The Königsberg issue is common, this one is quite scarce.
