Prussia 1708-CS ducat Fr-2300
This specimen was lot 3156 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €5,500 (about US$7,654 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich (III.) I. 1701-1713. Dukat 1708, CS, Berlin. Mit Signatur L im Armabschnitt. Münzmeister Christoph Stricker. Stempelschneider Christian Friedrich Lüders. GOLD. Sehr seltener Jahrgang. Kl. Schrötlingsfehler, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick I, 1701-13, ducat of 1708, Berlin mint, with initial "L". Very rare date, minor edge defects, very fine to extremely fine.)"
