Prussia 1708-CS 2/3 thaler KM-81
This specimen was lot 3176 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €650 (about US$905 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich (III.) I. 1701-1713. 2/3 Taler 1708, CS, Berlin. Mit durchgehender Vorderseitenumschrift. Münzmeister Christoph Stricker. Fast sehr schön/sehr schön. Erworben am 24.11.1990 von Udo Gans, Arnsberg. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick I, 1701-13, two-thirds thaler of 1708, Berlin mint, with continuous obverse legend. About very fine.)"
This type was struck at Berlin 1708-09 along with an armored bust (KM 61) and mantled bust (KM 76) type. The early gulden of Prussia are scarce but much more available than the thalers.

Specification: 17.32 g, 0.750 fine silver, this specimen 17,19 g.
