This specimen was lot 43225 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND. 5 Zlotych (3/4 Ruble), 1840-MW. Warsaw Mint. Nicholas I. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details." This issue was struck 1833-41 at Warsaw and St. Petersburg while Poland was under Russian rule (1815-1918). Five złotych equaled three-quarters of a ruble. Russian coinage for Poland ended in 1850.
