Stephen Album sale 50, lot 3231

This specimen was lot 3231 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND: Nicholas I, 1825-1855, AR 5 zlotych-3/4 rouble, 1839, attractive original piece, XF, ex Dr. Robert A. Rosenfeld Collection." This issue was struck 1833-41 at Warsaw and St. Petersburg while Poland was under Russian rule (1815-1918). Five złotych equaled three-quarters of a ruble. Russian coinage for Poland ended in 1850.
