This specimen was lot 2189 in Jean Elsen sale 163 (Brussels, November 2025), where it sold for €420 (about US$485 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"PÉROU, République (1821-), AV 10 soles, 1965. (republic of Peru, gold ten soles of 1965, Extremely Fine.)"
This type is listed for 1956-69. The 1965 is the most common date. It is doubtful that this was ever a circulating coin.
Specification: 4.607 g, 0.900 fine gold, 0,148 troy oz, ø18 mm.
