This specimen was lot 25000 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $3,290. The catalog description[1] noted, "Papal States. Clement XI gold Scudo d'Or Anno XVIII (1717), MS64 NGC, sharply struck and attractive with toned luster, a very nice example in all respects and rare in this select quality." The scudo d'oro was about 4% lighter than the zecchino.
