This specimen was lot 32892 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Oldenburg. Anton Günther (1603-1667) Gulden (28 Stubers) ND (1649-1651) MS62 NGC, With the mark of Jurgen Detleffs. A scarce issue and an exceptional offering at that, the present Gulden--issued in the name Danish King Frederick III--reveals remarkably residual luster and only the lightest wear despite a somewhat uneven strike. Like[ly] produced in the lordship of Jever, this piece was struck around just 15 years before the Danish crown would retake possession of the county of Oldenburg."
Recorded mintage: unknown.
