This specimen was lot 5341 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €2,200 (about US$2,843 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NÜRNBERG, STADT, 1/4 Reichstaler 1625, mit Titel Ferdinands II. Von großer Seltenheit. Hübsche Patina, sehr schön. (city of Nuremberg, quarter thaler of 1625, struck in the name of Ferdinand II. Extremely rare, handsome patina, very fine.)"
This type was struck 1621-25 and is not listed as rare. This example realized eighteen times the catalog value.
