This specimen was lot 4312 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €3,200 (about US$4,199 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NÜRNBERG, STADT, 1/4 Reichstaler 1624, mit Titel Ferdinands II. Von größter Seltenheit. Sehr schön. Exemplar der Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 223, Osnabrück 2013, Nr. 458. (Germany, city of Nuremberg, quarter thaler of 1624, struck in the name of Ferdinand II. Extremely rare, very fine.)"
This type was struck 1621-25 and the year 1624 comes with multiple mintmarks. This example realized 26 times the catalog value.
