This specimen was lot 11117 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €690 (about US$719). The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. Krone, 1687-PG. Christiania mint. Christian V. NGC AU Details--Cleaned. Attractive example. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." The SCWC lists three different kroner for 1686: KM 148.1/Dav-3663 (shown here), KM 167, KM 168/Dav-3665, KM 169/Dav-3665A, KM 170 and KM 171. This type was struck 1681-95. While it is not particularly common, it is often collected in lieu of the much rarer specie dalers. The others are all very rare. One specie daler was six mark or 96 skilling.

Specification: 22.27 g, 0.672 fine silver, 39.4 mm diameter, this specimen 22.15 g.
