This specimen was lot 11118 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €1,200 (about US$1,251). The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. Mark, 1687-HCM. Kongsberg Mint. Christian V. NGC AU Details--Tooled. Of this rare emission, this is the only date without the Kongsberg mintmark. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex: Countship of Brahesminde Collection (Private Sale - 1922)." This rare type was struck 1687 only. One specie daler was six mark or 96 skilling.
