Norway 1687 2 skilling KM-160
This specimen was lot 11119 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 2 Skilling, 1687. Kongsberg Mint. Christian V. NGC EF Details--Cleaned. Variety with date on reverse. Excellent for type From the L. E. Bruun Collection." The SCWC records three different two skillings for 1687: KM 153 ("C5" monogram), KM 160 (shown here) and KM 161 (date below). The KM 153 is scarce, the KM 160 is rare and the KM 161 is very rare. One specie daler was six mark or 96 skilling.
