This type was struck 1840-49 at Utrecht. The 1846 is the most common date but no proofs are mentioned in the SCWC. The contemporary French silver two francs was 10 g, 0.900 fine.

Recorded mintage: 13,614,913 (most common date).

Specification: 10 g, 0.945 fine silver, .303 troy oz ASW, 28 mm diameter, edge lettered ★ GOD ★ ZY ★ MET ★ ONS.
